I’m hoping with this one, the install doesn’t require cutting pieces off my car. One of the things that appeals to me about the Ecohitch, aside from the fact that it’s made in USA, is that the receiver is stainless steel.

I called them a couple weeks ago to confirm that it is in fact a stealth style hitch, as the picture on their site shows the receiver welded to the carrier. They said that's a stock photo because their EV6 hitch is new, and confirmed it will have a removable receiver.
WebJan 7, 2024 · The EcoHitch looks much easier to install and requires no cutting or ugly looking trim piece on your bumper. The OEM hitch is at least 1.5 inches higher than the ecohitch - purely from viewing the photo's. 1.5 inches could mean a lot for bike carrier that sticks out the back.
